Your clients leave your sessions feeling better. The question is whether they leave different?

The session goes well. They talk, you listen closely, you ask the question that opens something up. They leave lighter than they arrived and they tell you it helped.

Two weeks later, the pattern is still running.

See if this feels familiar:

Your sessions produce understanding, then stall at the point where behavior has to change.

A client made real progress once, but you could not say what you did that caused it, so you are not confident you could do it again on purpose.

You can tell something is operating underneath what a client is telling you, and you have no dependable way to reach it.

Someone asks what you are certified in, and you move the conversation along.

You hold your rates where they are, because raising them would mean being certain about what you deliver every time.

If you have never formally studied NLP, your training taught you to build trust, listen accurately, and hold a sound process. That is why your sessions produce insight. What it never gave you was a repeatable procedure for changing a pattern once you have found it.

If you have studied NLP for years, you can explain anchoring, submodalities, and the Meta Model. But you notice the moment a technique belongs and let it pass. And you still have no practitioner credential to show a client.

If you have studied NLP for years, you can explain anchoring, submodalities, and the Meta Model. But you notice the moment a technique belongs and let it pass. And you still have no practitioner credential to show a client.

One group is missing the method. The other is missing the practice. Neither has run a change technique on a live person while an experienced trainer watched and corrected them in the moment.

That is the whole difference between knowing a technique and producing it on demand, with a real person waiting for you to lead. You cannot learn calibration from a screen, because calibration is a response to something happening in front of you right now.

So the gap stays quiet. Your clients like you, your sessions feel productive, and you keep wondering whether last spring's breakthrough was your work or their timing.

This skill is built in a room, face to face, with a trainer close enough to see what you are doing and correct it while you are still doing it.

The problem is not your ability. It is what your training left out.

Almost every way you can learn to work with people scales through a screen. Books, recorded modules, self-paced certifications, weekend webinars. They are good at giving you language for what you are seeing. They cannot give you skill.

Recognizing a technique when someone else runs it is not the same as knowing what to do when it is your turn to lead.

Here is how the cycle tends to go:

  • Another course, another certification, and the same hesitation when a client stalls.

  • Methods absorbed from a screen, with no real feel for pacing, calibration, or state work.

  • A prospective client asks what you are certified in, and the conversation moves on without you.

  • Referrals go to the practitioner who can name a credential, not the one who has studied more.

  • Your rates stay where they are, because raising them would mean feeling certain about what you deliver.

Each pass through that cycle costs money. It also wears down your confidence that you can do this work to a professional standard.

It does not have to continue this way.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a tested set of techniques for the part your training skipped: reading a person accurately, shifting their state, using language with precision, and taking them through structured change from start to finish. Applied behavioral psychology, and it is learnable.

But only one way. Watch a technique demonstrated properly, run it yourself immediately, get corrected on the spot, then run it again.

That loop turns study into working skill. At NLP Live San Diego, you spend seven full days inside it.

Introducing NLP Live San Diego

Experience 7 Days of Live NLP Training on San Diego Bay, With NLP Practitioner Certification Through the Society of NLP.

NLP Live San Diego is an in-person NLP Practitioner Certification held October 18–24, 2026, on San Diego Bay. You'll train with Keith Leonard, Chief Learning Officer at the Madanes Institute, and Daniel Velasco, a Master Trainer of NLP certified by Dr. Richard Bandler.

The week is built as an immersion, not a lecture series. Every technique is demonstrated live, then practiced immediately in rotating triads, with personal feedback and calibration throughout. Training runs from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, giving you the time to practice, make mistakes, adjust, and run each technique again.

Over the seven days, you'll:

Over the seven days, you'll:

  • Learn the full NLP Practitioner technique set in the order you'll need it, from reading people and changing states to using language precisely and running structured change work from start to finish.

  • Practice every technique on the same day it's demonstrated, with live feedback and correction.

  • Train in a small, coaching-intensive group where there's room for personal calibration.

  • Work through focused skill drills in small groups alongside whole-room teaching.

  • Take part in the NLP Tournament, moving through team-based stations designed to test your knowledge and skill.

  • Complete a practical certification demonstration on Day 7.

By the end of the week, you walk away with:

  • The ability to use NLP, not just explain it.

  • Greater confidence in your ability to recognize patterns, choose the right technique, and use it in the moment.

  • Demonstrated practitioner-level competence built through seven days of hands-on practice.

  • Upon successful completion, NLP Practitioner certification through the Society of NLP and a certificate personally signed by Dr. Richard Bandler, co-creator of NLP.

Keith Leonard trained directly with NLP co-founders Dr. Richard Bandler and Dr. John Grinder. He's since used NLP with Fortune 500 organizations, private clients, and in educational programs, personally training more than 1,500 coaches in NLP and executive coaching.

He developed this certification in partnership with the Society of NLP to give participants rigorous, hands-on training that reflects the standard behind the credential.

This is your opportunity to learn NLP close to the source, practice it under expert guidance, and earn your credential by demonstrating what you can do.

Who This Training Is For

Is NLP Live San Diego Right for You?

  • Coaches and practitioners with no NLP background. You already know how to hold a conversation and ask a good question. What you want is a method that produces change reliably, and a credential that says you can run it. Day One assumes nothing.

  • Therapists and counselors. You have clinical training and you work with people whose patterns are stubborn. NLP gives you a structured set of techniques for state, language, and identity-level change that sits alongside what you already do.

  • Anyone who has studied NLP but never practiced it live. Books, videos, and self-paced modules build recognition. This week builds the ability to lead, and gives you the practitioner credential to show for it.

  • Leaders, consultants, and anyone whose work depends on understanding people. Precision in reading people and in language is a professional asset well beyond a coaching practice.

Keith Leonard

Chief Learning Officer, Madanes Institute

Keith Leonard is an executive coach and applied behavioral instructor who was trained directly by NLP co-founders Dr. Richard Bandler and Dr. John Grinder. He serves as Chief Learning Officer at the Madanes Institute and Lead Trainer for this program.

His interest in this work started with a problem he could not solve. In his twenties, working in corporate leadership, Keith became preoccupied with a pattern he kept observing: some people changed, and others stayed exactly where they were. He watched capable employees struggle with confidence, communication, and self-limiting beliefs, and came to see that conventional training delivered knowledge while rarely producing lasting behavioral change. People left inspired, then returned to the same patterns within weeks.

Over his career, Keith has personally trained more than 1,500 coaches in NLP and Executive Coaching, and has trained and developed over 10,000 managers, leaders, and executives internationally. His work spans Fortune 500 organizations, private client practice, and educational programs, helping thousands of people change how they think, communicate, and perform.

Keith teaches the way he was taught: demonstration first, practice immediately after, correction while the technique is still fresh in your hands.

What's Inside NLP Live San Diego

Everything Built Around One Outcome

Everything in these 7 days is built around one outcome: that you leave able to run NLP techniques with a live person, reliably, without notes. The structure is practice-first — nothing is taught and then left for you to figure out later at home. Each technique is demonstrated in front of the room, then practiced by you within the same session, then corrected while it is still fresh in your hands.

7 Full Days, Live and In Person

Sunday, October 18 through Saturday, October 24, 2026, on San Diego Bay.

  • Check-in and welcome open the week Sunday, October 18 at 8:00 AM.

  • Training days run 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Demonstration, Then Immediate Practice

Every technique is shown live, then run by you in rotating triads.

  • You practice in the operator, subject, and observer roles.

  • The learning loop closes inside the session, not weeks later.

Small Group, Personal Calibration

Attendance is capped so the teaching stays close to the work.

  • Whole-room teaching, plus small-group skill drills.

  • Personal feedback and calibration from Keith Leonard.

A Sequential Build Across 7 Days

Each day depends on the one before it.

  • Sensory awareness → state work → language patterns → identity-level change.

  • By Day Seven you're combining techniques, not running them one at a time.

Certification Earned by Demonstration

NLP Practitioner certification through the Society of NLP.

  • Awarded on demonstrated competence, not attendance.

Praise for This Training

From Dr. Richard Bandler, Co-Creator of NLP

Dr. Richard Bandler co-created Neuro-Linguistic Programming in the 1970s alongside Dr. John Grinder, and founded the Society of NLP, which remains the original certifying body for the field. He has spent five decades developing the methods now taught worldwide and training the practitioners and trainers who teach them. Every NLP Practitioner certificate issued through this program carries his signature.

He also trained Keith Leonard directly.

What People Say About Cloe

As a long-term practitioner of yoga, I was surprised at the physical increase in strength and flexibility through the Qi Gong practice in such a short time. But more than that, the practice opened up a window of expression within that allowed me to truly connect with myself and others.

Cliente 1

Suzannah Lim

I have been practicing Qigong for four months now, and it is very beneficial for me. Suffering from various ailments (fatigue, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.), I have already seen an improvement. With White Tiger Qigong, I gain muscle strength, I learn to relax, to breathe, and my organs are strengthened. It is a practice that brings a lot of energy and is very beneficial for all people who have bad conditions and even for those who are in good shape.

Cliente 2

Beatrice C.

White Tiger Qigong has had such a big influence on my life and has allowed me to connect with my body and my energy in such a profound way that has enabled me to heal my own nervous system, and I’m feeling the effects brining huge shifts to my life. This practice has helped me to heal my own back and neck pain, and I’ve learned how to build a healthier relationship with my own emotions. I’ve learned to listen and not react. This practice has also been great in helping me in my work and career. It’s really helping me to cultivate stronger relationships with my clients and with others, but most importantly with myself.

Cliente 3

Edward Ha

I have a physical disability, and I tend to be closed up. Thanks to the practice of this Qigogn I stand up; I feel more deeply opened. Despite having difficulty doing certain exercises, I know that this practice helps me to make my body more supple, to relax and feel better. It feels really good for me.

Cliente 4

Veronique C.

I have been practicing Qigong for a little over a year now. When I first became interested in Qigong, I came across some YouTube videos of White Tiger Qigong classes with Natalia. The Qigong practice has helped sharpen my focus as well as bring balance and stability emotionally. I am very pleased with the results I have received from my practice and look to share this Qigong with others in hopes they receive the benefits they need as well.

Cliente 5

James Redmon

As a school psychology specialist with a Master’s in Psychology, my work with children facing learning and behavioral challenges is extremely stressful. I was looking for a way to restore emotional, physical, and spiritual balance and decided to try Qigong with White Tiger Qigong because of the comprehensive, self-paced structure and live classes. I’ve gained far more than expected. At 59, aches and pains I was told were just part of aging are now gone. I have greater flexibility, better posture, more energy, and a deeper sense of peace. Qigong has been an incredible journey, and I look forward to continuing my studies with White Tiger Qigong.

Cliente 6

Kimberly Hart

My initial reasons for wanting to study and practice Qigong were to support my own rehabilitation post-knee surgery, whilst pursuing my desire to train in a dynamic mind-body-centered practice, that had a respected and sound moral code, and which would also provide tools to center and quieten the mind. Having researched different styles of Qigong, I took a detour on my travels specifically to study - Medical Qigong - under the tutelage of Tevia Feng. The array of positive benefits and enjoyment I experienced on a personal level, led me to extend my stay and train to become an instructor. Tevia is without doubt a gifted master, whose passion and dedication to his chosen path, including his commitment to constantly refine and deepen his practice, is infectious.

Cliente 7

David Wilson

Until recently, I didn’t pay much attention to my health and got quite typical problems like pain in the back because of herniated discs, migraines, etc. So, I started to investigate what I can do to improve my health in body and mind. A couple of years ago, my husband discovered White Tiger Qigong. I tried different Qigong exercises together with him and liked it a lot, especially because they were focusing not only on the body, but also breath and spirit. Because of the stress at work, I was often in a sympathetic state and couldn’t sleep or relax properly. I saw that Qigong could help me with it.

what you'll learn

What You'll Learn Across the 7 Days

By Saturday, you will not simply know more about NLP. You'll be able to run the full Practitioner technique set on a live person, in the order a practitioner needs it: read them accurately, change their state, use language precisely, then take them through structured change work from start to finish.

You will learn how to:

  • Read people accurately in real time. Identify representational systems (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, gustatory), translate between them, calibrate to sensory cues as they happen, and read eye accessing cues.

  • Change emotional state on demand. Work with submodalities to adjust the intensity of an experience, and use anchoring fundamentals, sliding anchors, multi-sensory anchors, chaining anchors, and collapsing anchors.

  • Build rapport and hold it while you lead. Match and mirror, pace and lead, and keep rapport intact while steering a conversation toward a defined outcome..

  • Use language with precision. Apply the Meta Model to recover what has been deleted, distorted, or generalized in someone's account of a problem, and the Milton Model for artfully vague language, ambiguities, indirect suggestion, and embedded commands.

  • Run structured change work end to end. Set well-formed outcomes and move a person from present state to desired state to future pace using Visual Squash, Swish Patterns, content and context reframing, metaphor, and Bandler-style rapid hypnotic inductions.

  • Work with patterns, strategies, and time. Elicit and install strategies, identify sorting patterns and metaprograms and adapt your communication to them, and work with timeline (in time and through time).

  • Handle the advanced techniques. The Fast Phobia Cure, V/K dissociation for working with distressing memories at a distance, and Changed Personal History.

These are working skills rather than concepts you will need to revisit. Once a technique has been demonstrated to you, run by you, and corrected, it stays available.

Explore the 7-Day Curriculum

The Week Is Sequenced the Way Skill Is Actually Built

Perception first, then state, then language, then structured change work, then integration. Each day assumes what you learned the day before, which is why the final day has you combining techniques instead of practicing them individually. Training days run 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, October 18 through Saturday, October 24, 2026.

DAY 1

7 Full Days, Live and In Person

What NLP actually is, the NLP presuppositions, representational systems, sensory calibration, and translating and overlapping between systems. By day's end you're noticing how the person in front of you processes information.

DAY 2

Demonstration, Then Immediate Practice

How submodalities govern intensity and how to adjust them, anchoring fundamentals, sliding and multi-sensory anchors, rapport, matching and mirroring, pacing and leading, and eye accessing cues.

DAY 3

Language Patterns and Change Work

The Meta Model, setting well-formed outcomes, and running the change process itself — present state to desired state to future pace, using Visual Squash and Swish Patterns.

DAY 4

Advanced Anchoring and Hypnotic Language

Collapsing and chaining anchors, deeper integration of the NLP presuppositions, and the Milton Model: artfully vague language, ambiguities, indirect suggestion, and embedded commands.

DAY 5

Strategies, Reframing, and Hypnosis

Eliciting and installing strategies, content and context reframing, homomorphic and isomorphic metaphors, and Bandler-style rapid hypnotic inductions.

DAY 6

Deep Patterns and Time-Based Techniques

Sorting patterns and metaprograms, adapting communication to each one, timeline work (in time vs. through time), and the Fast Phobia Cure.

DAY 7

Integration, Identity Work, and Closure

V/K dissociation and Changed Personal History, both operating at the level of identity. You bring the full technique set together in your practical certification demonstration, in front of your trainers and peers, then close with future pacing so what you learned goes straight into your work.

You arrive able to describe NLP. You leave able to run it, with a credential that says so.

Want to talk it through before you commit?

Seven days away from work and travel to San Diego is a real decision. An enrollment advisor can go through the schedule with you, confirm what the certification demonstration on Day Seven involves, explain how the six-month payment plan works, and check whether your existing NLP training changes what you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About the Program

I can't take a full week away from my work. Is there a shorter option?

No, and that is deliberate. Practitioner-level skill comes from repetition under supervision, and there is no compressed version that produces the same result. The seven days exist because each one depends on the day before it, moving from sensory awareness through state work and language patterns into full identity-level change work.

What we would say is this: most participants find the week easier to schedule than expected once they treat it as fixed. Dates are Sunday, October 18 through Saturday, October 24, 2026, with training running 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Blocking that out now, four months ahead, is considerably simpler than trying to find the same week later.

I've taken NLP training before. Why would I do another one?

The question worth asking is not how much NLP you have studied, but whether you can run a technique on a live person right now, without notes, and get a reliable result. Most people who have studied NLP through books, video, or self-paced online courses cannot, because none of those formats include the part that builds the skill: running the technique yourself while a trainer watches and corrects your pacing.

That is what these seven days are. Every technique is demonstrated live, then practiced immediately in rotating triads, with personal feedback and calibration from Keith Leonard. If your previous training was screen-based, this covers ground it structurally could not.

Is this suitable if I'm completely new to NLP?

Yes. Day One starts with foundations: what NLP is, the presuppositions, representational systems, and sensory calibration. Nothing is assumed. You also receive the NLP Practitioner Prep Course, delivered live via Zoom in October before the event, so you arrive familiar with the terminology and spend Day One building skill rather than learning vocabulary.

What certification do I receive, and is it recognized?

You receive NLP Practitioner certification through the Society of NLP, the original certifying body for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, founded by Dr. Richard Bandler, co-creator of NLP. Your certificate is personally signed by Dr. Bandler. This certification is also the prerequisite for anyone who intends to train NLP themselves in the future.

The credential is earned by practical demonstration rather than attendance. You certify by demonstrating practitioner-level competence on Day Seven.

What if I don't pass the certification?

The week is structured so that this is unlikely. You practice every technique the day you learn it, with correction from your trainers, so errors get caught throughout the week rather than surfacing for the first time at the end. Your trainers know exactly where you are before Day Seven arrives, and they work with you to get you there.

Is the cost of travel and the program justified against online training?

That depends on what you want from it. If your goal is to understand NLP, online study is cheaper and adequate. If your goal is to use it with clients and hold a credential that says you can, in-person training with supervised practice is the only route that produces it.

To make the investment more manageable, we offer a six-month interest-free payment plan. Graduates of Virtual NLP Mastery Training also enroll at a 50% discount.

Is accommodation included?

No. Accommodation is booked separately, and the enrollment team provides local hotel recommendations once you are enrolled. The venue sits on San Diego Bay, steps from the Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy, and two miles from San Diego International Airport, so travel in and out is straightforward.

How large is the group?

Attendance is capped so that every participant receives personal feedback and calibration from Keith Leonard. Some content is delivered to the whole room, and skill drills run in small groups.

What happens after the week ends?

You keep training. Weekly Virtual Practice Labs run via Zoom after the event, so you continue running techniques with other practitioners while the material is still fresh. This is the period where most people either consolidate what they learned or let it fade, and the labs exist to make sure it is the former.

What if I get there and it's not what I expected?

Attend the first full day of training. If you decide it is not for you, request a full refund, no questions asked. By 6:00 PM on Day One you will have watched techniques demonstrated live, run them yourself in triads, and been corrected on your own work, which is enough to know whether this is the training you came for.
